06/01/2026 Jan Valdman Receives Professorial Decree

On 1 June 2026, Jan Valdman of the Department of Decision-Making Theory at the Institute of Information Theory and Automation of the Czech Academy of Sciences (UTIA) received his professorial decree during a ceremonial event held in the historic Carolinum in Prague.

The decree was presented by the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, and the Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, Robert Plaga.

Appointment to Professor represents one of the highest academic distinctions in the Czech Republic and recognizes long-term excellence in research, teaching, and scholarly contributions.
