4/27-30/2026 NextGen Synergy: Successful International Scientific Meeting in Prague

Between 27–30 April, 2026, the international conference NextGen Synergy: Control Theory & Machine Learning was successfully held in Prague.

Organised within the framework of the European COST Action CA24136 InterCoML, the event was run in collaboration of the Institute of Information Theory and Automation of the Czech Academy of Sciences and The Faculty of Economics and Management in CZU Prague. Both institutions represent the Czech Republic in the Management Committee of CA24136.

The conference explored the synergy between control theory and machine learning, bringing together experts in mathematics, computer science, control theory, and machine learning to discuss combining advanced control-theoretic tools with modern data-driven models.

More than 90 researchers from 21 countries attended. The programme featured invited lectures by leading European experts, among them Nicolò Cesa-Bianchi, David Ríos Insua, Enrique Zuazua, Markus Abel and Petr Stluka, alongside scientific talks, poster sessions, and panel discussions.

The conference attracted the attention of the Czech Academy of Sciences, which issued an official press release highlighting the event.

Thank you to all speakers and participants for an inspiring scientific meeting!
