Radomír Vávra získal magisterský titul v roce 2010 na Fakultě elektrotechnické ČVUT v Praze. V roce 2017 mu byl udělen akademický titul Ph.D. Fakultou informačních technologií téže univerzity ve spolupráci s Ústavem teorie informace a automatizace Akademie věd ČR.

Jeho výzkum se zaměřuje na počítačovou grafiku, vizualizaci, modelování efektových povlaků a obousměrné měření textur. V těchto oblastech publikoval několik článků a podílel se na pěti GAČR výzkumných projektech.
