Výzkumné zaměření: bayesovská metodika, pravděpodobnostní modelování, odhad struktury modelu, odhadování a rozhodování za neurčitosti, konstrukce apriorní informace pomocí fiktivních dat, pravděpodobnostní směsi se statickými i dynamickými váhami, lineární model s normálním šumem (ARX), lineární model s rovnoměrným šumem (ARX, stavový), přenos neurčité znalosti mezi autonomními agenty. Některé výsledky byly aplikovány v nukleární medicíně a v průmyslu zpracování kovů.

Projekty: řešitel dvou domácích a dvou evropských projektů, člen týmu tří projektů, z toho jeden evropský.

Publikace: celkem 66, z toho 9 v odborných časopisech a 4 kapitoly v knihách.
